Apple needs to make changes to the built-in mechanism for purchases until March 31

From the beginning, Apple was faced with several major organizations that advocate for policy changes embedded shopping App Store.

U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the European Commission with a small time interval were in favor of changes to the built-in mechanism for purchases within applications , which would provide users greater protection against accidental waste of money . According to rumors, Apple has until March 31 to resolve this problem.

Recall that in mid-January, Apple entered into an agreement with the FTC, requiring the company to refund the money to parents affected by the built-in purchases made by children. However , as it turned out recently , the agreement did contain certain requirements and to Apple. In particular , the company must commit to change the mechanism built shopping so that the user gave his consent to the commission of an additional in-app. Nevertheless , in Cupertino plan allow the user to consent only for the first time .

According to ZDNet, Apple is trying to implement changes in the mechanism of embedded purchases in the coming update iOS 7.1. And although the update was originally scheduled for March , the company needs to meet before the end of the month - in time allotted FTC. The task before Apple faces a difficult , since such changes will require major policy changes App Store, and software changes in the mechanism of the commission built app store purchases .

At the moment, it is expected that Apple will replace the 15- minute window to make purchases without entering a password to a permanent password request when making purchases built . However, this feature can be disabled in the settings. Given that these changes were not in the beta versions of iOS 7.1, the company is not so much time to implement this feature in the near mobile operating system update .
