The operating system of North Korea's "borrowed" OS X interface

Sometimes it seems that North Korea - a country in itself.

The state cut off from the rest of the world lives and develops its own for some is not always logical, laws and regulations. And so in terms of technology, the North Koreans and does lag behind most countries in the world for a couple of decades. Nevertheless, the supreme leader of the DPRK Kim Jong-un is the user iMac, and the best minds in the state recently finished creating the next version of the national operating system, the interface to which the pain is similar to the same product Apple.

Operating System for North Korea called Red Star Linux 3.0. It really is based on the kernel Linux, but it uses most UI elements that we all know of OS X from Apple. For the development of national software meets Korean Computer Center, located in Pyongyang.
Age of different versions of Red Star Linux has already reached ten years, but until the latest version of an object of inspiration Korean programmers is an operating system from Microsoft.

Version 3.0, in turn, became a kind of revolutionary, adopting interface OS X.
By the way, the latest version of screenshots Red Star Linux did not have to go beyond the DPRK. However, for this is to thank Will Scott. He spent a semester in the country, teaching at a local university. Before leaving, he acquired the operating system CD in your local store. No further modifications to the software he did not hold. Although the red star in the upper left corner instead of an apple looks pretty cool.
