It’s been a while since there was a new Walkman phone on the market, so a fresh concept can’t hurt. David Quijada has rendered a series of interesting devices over the past year or so and today he’s back with a Sony Xperia Walkman concept.
This model
is called Sony Xperia W80 Walkman Phone and it comes with a Snapdragon quad core 2 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage. It also has IP 68 water resilience and it can also take shocks. To me, this model combines the traits of an Xperia Active and the ones of a Walkman. The new Walkman concept runs Android 4.4 KitKat, integrates a 5 inch Full HD IPS display and has a 4200 mAh battery.
There’s FM radio on board, WiFi, 4G LTE, HDTV tuner feature and a 21 megapixel back with wide angle lens. Upfront there’s a superselfie 8 MP shooter and we even get a few sports features, like pedometer, GPS, Google Fitness and Health, plus a G Sensor. This looks like a very youthful device, to be honest…
