The European Parliament has decided to forcibly compel manufacturers of smartphones equipped with a single device power port .

During the vote by the European Parliament for a bill providing for the mandatory installation of a single charger for mobile gadgets sold in the EU , it was supported by 550 deputies. According to representatives of the Parliament , the introduction of such a law would reduce annual recyclable electronics at 51,000 tons.
