CyanogenMod team announced
the official blog of the project that the first devices available line Android One got the assembly based on CyanogenMod 11. From this moment the most popular designers in the world are beginning to support third-party firmware data and smartphones.
However, the assembly for all three devices (Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V and Spice Dream UNO) will be created in a somewhat unusual mode - once a week, on Sundays. Responsible for their new team member Chitre Varun (Varun Chitre), began development of unofficial firmware-based CM almost immediately after the announcement of the final line of Android One.
As already mentioned above, the assembly are based on the current code CyanogenMod 11, the transition to Lollipop (CM12) is planned, but the exact timing is difficult to specify a while. Apparently, the developers are waiting for the official drivers and kernel modules for this "iron" under the new system.
CyanogenMod team notes that these first official assembly not only for Android One, but also for devices based on chips from MediaTek (MTK) in general. Typically, the company does not care about the publication of the source code and drivers, and the project is fundamentally not used analogues obtained by reverse engineer or other illegal ways.
