Microsoft will fight Chromebook'am

HP get together with Microsoft to release an affordable laptop that can compete on cost with Chromebook'ami.

HP Chromebook 14

Device is called Stream 14 and will work on the basis of Windows 8.1. This was reported by the German MobileGeeks, specifying that the gadget will cost only $ 199, or about 120 euros.
It is known that the laptop will get a screen with a resolution of 1366 × 768 pixels at 14 inches (and to me it sounds crazy after all the FullHD QHD and smartphones), and the processor AMD "Mullins" A4 Micro-6400T Quad-Core SoC and integrated with Radeon R3, 32 or 64 gigabytes of internal memory. However, the number of available gigabytes can be expanded using a memory card slot MicroSD. RAM on board would be 2 GB.

Weight - 1.75 kg. Of the ports will be available USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 ports and HDMI.

If you recall the HP Chromebook, it specifications are very close to these devices. The only difference in the operating systems. However, in the case of Windows 8.1 disk space for the user's needs will be so small that it will have to use the web service versioning Microsoft, for example, Office 365 subscription and OneDrive for data storage and various own media content. MobileGeeks added that Microsoft allocate OneDrive 100 gigabytes each buyer Stream 14 for a period of two years. A similar amount of space provided in Google Chromebook'ov customers in its cloud Drive.

Probably we will see Stream 14 officially next month at IFA in Berlin.
