As you know several
months ago there was a rumor saying that Google was going to give up the Nexus program in favour of something called Silver. At Google I/O the makers of Android dismissed this theory and said that Nexus is here to stay. We haven’t heard anything about Android Silver since, but here it is again, materialized as these 3 renders:
We’re dealing with your typical Nexus format device, a model that adopts an upper and bottom rounded area, straight edges and a pretty wide format.
There camera at the back is incredibly small and discretely, especially considering how big the cameras of the Nexus 7 2013 and Nexus 5 were. Side buttons are also discrete, while the front side stands out through ultraslim screen bezels.
The OS is Android L, so somehow this is still a Nexus, without it being called Nexus, but rather Android Silver. LG is said to be making a Silver phone, but that’s a very remote speculation. This handset shown here is said to have 3 GB of RAM, a metallic case and a 3000 mAh battery, as well as a larger screen, in the 5+ inch area. What do you think of this model?
