While the rest of the world is worrying about the iPhone 7 and Galaxy Note 7, we start dreaming about
a new Nokia phone again. It also helps that we’ve just scored a full gallery of renders of the Nokia C1 Android handset, courtesy of Techconfigurations.
This model seems to have a glass back and a camera placed very close to the corner, maybe even too close. Some of the general design traits seem to borrow a bit from the Nokia N1 tablet. The edges are very shiny and chromed, perhaps not the most inspired choice for Nokia, but my favourite bit is the discrete set of speakers at the bottom. There’s a 2.5D glass panel upfront, a 5.5 inch Full HD screen.
There will be variations here, with a smaller 2 GB RAM, 32 GB storage version and a 5 inch screen, while the 5.5 incher gets 3 GB of RAM, 64 GB storage, a 13 MP back camera and a front 5 MP shooter. Nokia C1 runs Android Marshmallow, with the latest version of Z Launcher on top. Expect even more gestures and minimalism in this UI.
I have to say that the Nokia C1 doesn’t look half bad here.
