It’s been a while since I last talked about Motorola as a standalone company, rather than a firm owned
by Lenovo, but we’ll do that today. The device shown below is actually a series of Motorola concept phones created by Jaume Boniquet.
These are all Motorola concept phones of 2016, developed for Moto China and they were developed at Anima Barcelona. Since they’re imaginary designs, they don’t have to stick to guidelines or design rules within the Moto G, Moto E or Moto X series. They’re standalone models, with the first being massive and having what seems to be a soft touch polycarbonate back and a facade that features capacitive buttons and a slightly fatter top area.
Then there’s the second model, looking like a big mouse combined with an electric razor of sorts and sporting that chunky look that was popularized by Windows Mobile models 10 years ago. My favourite is the third concept, feeling very outdoors-y and sporting a rounded top and bottom, with a carbon fiber vibe for the corners and a second screen at the back, offering that “compact MP3 player vibe” we liked some years ago.
