Well, over the past month we’ve seen both
a Nintendo Phone and a Commodore 64 smartphone, so let’s give old school another go. Designer Piotr Zgodzinski has created the Commodore Amiga 500 phone, that’s pictured below.
It takes us back to the mid 80s, when the Commodore was such a big deal.
The original Commodore Amiga 500 was used as an inspiration here and the original Workbench UI has also been included. The designer modeled everything in Blender 3D and Cycles. The resulting Amiga 500 phone comes with a quad core MC68000 processor, a 5.5 inch Full HD screen and a full SD card slot, not the microSD kin
The OS is WorkbenchPhone 1.3 “Boing Ball Popsicle”, clearly a tribute to the older platform
Finally, we’ve got 8 bit 4 channels of stereo sound. Fans of the TV show Halt & Catch Fire will totally get all the references that this handset includes and will totally adore it. Also, if you lived in the 80s and messed around with a Commodore, this is your time travel machine.
