Moises David Perez Narai has rendered the Microsoft Lumia 940 XL, one of the flagships that will promote Windows 10 for Mobile this year. The device is your regular rectangular handset affair, with a reasonably thick body and pretty big camera area.

The camera doesn’t seem to protrude much this time and the device keeps the camera button, that wasn’t present on the latest Lumias. This model also adopts a very minimal and discrete Windows logo at the back and a slightly curved glass panel upfront with a 5.7+ inch diagonal. The case combines polycarbonate and metal, from what I can see and the edges are a bit big, feeling like a sort of bumper case.

This takes me back to the Lumia 1520 somehow, but in a more minimalistic and discrete way. The camera feels like the one of the Lumia 830, rather than the one of the Lumia 930 or the Lumia 1520 even. A removable shell is not out of the picture, which may mean a removable battery.
