You can’t blame us for living in the past, seeing how modern smartphones don’t
exactly rise to our expectations… Well, Jermaine Smit went back to the past and brought back the Nokia 1100, that has been remade with Android.
This was one of the best selling phones in the world back in the day and cues from the original design have been kept. By the way, there’s a kernel of truth here, since a device codenamed Nokia 1100 has leaked recently in a benchmark, so it may be in the works…There’s a pretty long presentation video below, that I suggest you check out. This model features a multi layer metal frame, from what I can see, plus a strong earpiece at the front and a camera area that has a different color from the rest of the body.
Nokia 1100 features slim screen bezels and combines metal with plastic, from what we can see. The back is a soft touch one and color choices are shades of blue and red/orange. Don’t expect this concept to be exaggeratedly thin, since it’s a midranger after all.
Sadly all we can do is dream, since Nokia isn’t allowed to launch phones under its own brand till 2016…
