While some people are dreaming of the iPhone 6S and others of the iPhone 7, more and more designers are skipping straight to iPhone 8. Among them is M. Merkler, who envisioned the following iPhone 8 concept:
We’re dealing with a model here that sports a special RGB Micro LED Apple logo that flashes with different colors depending on the notifications you get. The look of the logo and its flash make me think of Iron Man and the core of his suit.
This model has a brushed aluminum lid around the logo area and you need to release the lid to insert the SIM card, through a mechanism that reminds me of a tuna can of sorts.
Anyway, this smartphone comes with a 25 megapixel camera with LED Flash and solar panels for charging. The iPhone 8 integrates a front 5 megapixel camera, a front camera flash and a special light sensor. The body of the phone is made of aluminum and glass, as well as carbon fiber and 14 karat gold. The fingerprint scanner slash Home button is a bit too big this time around, if you ask me.
The iPhone concept integrates a 4.5 inch screen, but it also displays another interface using a special laser keyboard projector. Crazy, right?
