HTC M9 Flagship Gets Leaked in What Appears to be a Render

We rarely deal with leaks, but when a handset is claimed to be “the real deal”, we have to step up and verify the claim. 

Today’s leak involves the HTC M9 flagship, that has apparently been leaked by an insider, as shown below.

To me, this is merely a render of the device and not a hands on shot or a press picture. The source also talks about two versions of the HTC One M9, the HTC M9 and HTC M9 Prime. Obviously, the leak involves specs, including a 5.5 inch Quad HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and 3 GB of RAM, as well as 64 GB or 128 GB of storage. Android 5.0 Lollipop is the OS of choice and HTC is said to be working with BOSE for a special acoustic system integration on the M9.

A 16 megapixel back camera is available here, with OIS and a 3500 mAh battery is also in the mix. The source wasn’t clear about this being a metallic or polycarbonate phone, so maybe it’s a combo of the two. Considering the tradition of the series, I’d say metal is the way to go. What do you say about this leak? Realistic?
