Jermaine Smit has come up with a
new Samsung concept phone, this time the Galaxy S7 getting his futuristic treatment. You can watch a video of the device below and we’ll dissect the design and specs after the break.
The upgrades are exactly the ones you’d expect, including the Exynos 7430 processor, a 20 megapixel camera this time, with improved aperture and RAW capture. Basically, this feels like a response to the LG G4, including the leather-like back of the Galaxy S7. Its golden edges are also interesting, creating a sort of contrast with the overall dark design.
The front camera is also given an upgrade to 8 megapixels, although right now the 5 megapixel camera on the Galaxy S6 is better than the 8 MP shooter of the LG G4. The phone looks more serious, more business-like and the whole leather is my speculation, since the designer didn’t say anything about that. Sammy could go back to water and dust resilience and I’m certain they’ll throw in the mix a fingerprint scanner and an USB Type C port.
Somehow, this handset reminds me of the LG Prada Phone 3.0, one of the best looking handsets of the past decade.
