OnePlus is pulling publicity stunt after publicity stunt, by releasing bits and pieces of information about the OnePlus 2 every week now. Today we learned that the unveiling of the phone
will happen on July 27th and it will be viewed through VR cardboard accessories, that are being sent out by OnePlus. In the meantime, two supposed images of the smartphone have leaked.
Phone Arena has the scoop on the leak, revealing said pictures, that aren’t hugely surprising to be frank.
The shots are pretty blurry, but they do reveal a metal build here, a high screen to body ratio and clear resemblances to the predecessor. At the back there’s the fingerprint scanner placed on a vertical piece, that includes the camera and flash.
The back of the phone feels like it’s made of wood, bamboo probably and the fingerprint sensor actually looks bigger than the camera. I can’t exactly tell if the black thingie on the side is a laser focus mechanism or not. OnePlus 2 is rumored to offer a 5.5 to 5.7 inch diagonal, a Snapdragon 810 processor version 2.1 and 3 or 4 GB of RAM.
A USB Type C Port has also been confirmed by the Chinese maker.
