We teased the Sony Xperia Orion here, Jermaine Smit’s creation and now we’ve got
the finalized render below. This model is a 5.2 inch Full HD smartphone, with a very interesting back side texture.
It’s dotted and the phone seems just a tiny bit curved, in my view. The Xperia Orion also brings 3 GB of DDR4 RAM, up to 128 GB of storage and USB Type C connectivity. Fast charging and water resilience is here, as well as 4K recording and dual front speakers. There’s a main 20.7 megapixel camera, with flat optics for more accurate colors, plus a 5 MP selfie camera with Full HD video record ability.
The device has a big Xperia logo at the bottom and Sony logo at the top and it seems pretty massive for a flagship. The texture of the back feels like the one of the Galaxy S5 and I have to say I’m impressed by the width of the speakers upfront. I see there’s glass, metal and plastic here combined, which finally changes the usual Sony approach.
The metal frame looks solid and the back camera has F/1.8 aperture, like the LG G4.
