While
Apple is struggling to put the waistline of the iPhone below 7 mm or even 6 mm, designer Herman Haidin took this idea to the next level. Thus, he created the iPhone Essence, a totally unreal iPhone concept,
shown below.
This is an edge to edge model, with two screens, one at the front and one at the back. The handset is merely 3 mm thick and of course this means we get no audio jack or Lightning port. All ports are eliminated, so wireless charging is the key here. This model is also completely waterproof and the only thing it’s probably vulnerable against is a potential Bendgate.
Aside from glass, it also uses liquid metal and 3D printed ultrathin crystal plates, combined into a single structure. There’s a 5 inch screen upfront, with photovoltaic sapphire glass, that could accumulate extra energy for the iPhone. A 16 nanopixel camera is included and it uses a built in program for image optimization.
