Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Manages to Upgrade the Excellent S6 Edge, in Jermaine Smit’s Vision

In December we’re going

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge concept Jermaine Smit 1

to see a lot of “top 10 phones of 2015” articles and I’m sure that in the top 3 we’ll see Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. This means that Samsung had an excellent year and it will be very hard to improve on existing designs in 2016. One can dream though and that’s just what designer Jermaine Smit has done with the Galaxy S7 Edge.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get better than the S6 Edge, he comes up with this concept, that features a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 chipset, as well as a 5.7 inch Quad HD screen.

This means we’re actually dealing with the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge+ here. 6 GB of RAM are promised by the designer, plus 32, 64 or 128 GB of storage, an 8 megapixel front camera and 16 megapixel main shooter.
Jermaine also included a technology called BRITECELL here, allowing more light to be captured and offers the full glass panel upfront and on the edges as viewfinder on this device. The concept you see here has a very slim waistline, a soft touch texture blended with metal and the back doesn’t seem to be made of glass this time. We get a prominent speaker upfront as the earpiece and the main speaker is at the bottom.
I find the back texture very interesting and I can’t figure out what material it is. The curved edges seem more discrete than on the predecessors and this means that among others, this model will be less slippery. Fantastic work here!
