Yes, there’s hope for HTC! While HTC 10 didn’t exactly turn us on, well I have to admit that the freshly
leaked HTC Desire 10 Pro is working its way in that direction. Evan Blass just published these renders of it and we’ll dissect them after the break.
Turns out that HTC has an event scheduled for September 20, where they may unveil what seems to be a series, the HTC Desire 10. For now we have here the HTC Desire 10 Pro, possibly the highest end of the newcomers, with a black or white color version. This model has a very big main camera, that seems to protrude a bit and it also gets to keep the iconic antenna cutouts, but as beautiful golden accents.
The handset’s back feels a bit like classic HTC machines, like HTC One X or maybe the One S. I won’t go ahead and say that the device is made of metal, since we don’t know that. It may as well be well built plastic and a metal frame in the mix. The facade looks rather generic, I know and the capacitive buttons feel like yesteryear, but with a big diagonal, that space would have been wasted.
Nice to see HTC putting the fingerprint scanner at the back for once.
