There are innovative smartphones and then there’s Alpha Centauri, rendered by Dominik Feger from Switzerland after an impressive
work time of over 150 hours. He did all the 3D modelling as part of a school project and it looks simply great.
The 3D model was created in Cinema 4D and all the post work was made in Adobe After Effects. The Alpha Centauri smartphone uses a Chainfire 3D accelerator, Snapdragon 820 CPU and WiPower wireless charging. It also has a Spectra image sensor, Sense ID 3D fingerprint scanner and support for Quick Charge 3.0.
The core of the experience is its tough levels of encryption, both hardware and software. There’s a CyanogenHunter OS on board, a special Anonymous Mode and extreme customization, as the designer claims. The trailer below for this concept phone is overly dramatic, but seeing how this phone could easily be in the TV show Mr. Robot, that’s hardly a problem.
Great UI in the video below by the way!
