Even if it’s not yet clear
if the next flagship phones from Microsoft will be the Lumia 940 or the Lumia 950 series models, designer Lucas Silva has tried his hand at a new design for such a model. Tentatively called Lumia 950 for now, the concept below also has a specs list attached.
But first let’s address the design! This is not your average “almost Surface Phone” render, but rather an elegant metal shell smartphone with a triple LED flash at the back. From what I can see we also get a secondary screen above the back camera, with indicator purposes and probably also showing notifications, without using too much power.
The phone feels more minimalistic than usual and the Windows button upfront looks modern and stylish, especially lit up. The Microsoft Lumia 950 concept made by Lucas Silva is also slim, atypical for a modern Lumia. Inside we find 2 GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 808 chipset, a 3000 mAh battery and upfront a 5.2 inch OLED display. A 20 megapixel camera is in the mix, too, plus an 8 megapixel shooter and an iris scanner apparently.
The back screen is a mini OLED used to show notifications.
