Although I have the feeling I’ve seen
this concept before, I have to say that’s a nice use of metal right here, through the Quartet Vega handset. Created by Jaeyong Lee, from South Korea in 2013, this mobile was meant to predict the design trends of 2014.
Taking into account the name and design approach of the device, I can’t help but think it would make a nice Pantech device… Anyway, its curved corners feel like they were taken from a fancy car, while the screen seems a bit lifted above the body, like the first gen Lumias. The metal back is pretty simple and features 5 pins that are probably used for docking or wireless charging accessories.
The same back reminds me of a smartwatch or elegant Swiss watch of sorts. The edges and the frame that goes all around the handset give the vibe of a sort of bumper case applied to this model. The designer claims that the Quartet Vega phone features surround 4.1 channel, an audio DAC chip inside and high quality sound streaming. This concept design is more detailed, so be sure to check the link below for a nice equalizer and a black and white interface that feels a bit like the one of the LG Prada Phone 3.0
