Today he tackles Jolla, the offpring of MeeGo and what’s left of Nokia’s originality in the software field…
Jolla is basically a group of engineers that left Nokia unhappy with the changes going on there. They’re the core of the folks working on the great Nokia N9 and MeeGo. The handset that David imagined features a 4 inch IPS display with Full HD resolution, a Nvidia Tegra 4 quad core processor, 3 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage. The handset is called The Mantle Half and it packs LTE, 3G, WiFi, FM radio and NFC.
There’s a 20 megapixel back camera and a front 5 MP shooter, as well as multi boot capability. This Jolla concept phone runs Sailfish OS, Windows Phone 8.1 and even KitKat if need be. I can’t help but wonder what the deal is with that huge button on the side. A mega camera button? Maybe something totally new? A lid of sorts? What do you think?
