Boy, do we love a solid set of CAD renders for a yet unannounced phone! Such is the case with
the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), pictured and detailed below. The device is codenamed SM-A520F and measures 7.8 mm in thickness.
It has curved back edges, just like the Galaxy S7, a trend that will be borrowed by the whole Galaxy A (2017) series. It’s not very clear if the devices have a metal and glass case, but it’s very likely they will.
Judging by previous releases of models from the Galaxy A range, we may see the Galaxy A5 (2017) launched in December this year.
The handset will offer an USB Type C port, an innovation compared to the predecessor and the specs are said to include 3 GB of RAM, an Exynos 7880 processor and 16 GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot. The back camera may be a 13 or 16 MP unit with OIS of course. There’s also a video below, courtesy of @OnLeaks and Android Authority.
The changes from the predecessor aren’t huge, but the spec bump will be interesting to see.
