I love it when a phone
becomes multifunctional and gains new uses, like in the case of the concept below.
Simply called a “Futuristic Mobile Concept“, this device is rendered by Samar Marzouk from Egypt and comes with 3 screens.
This handset can be used as a normal phone and also as a mini laptop. The screens on the inner side allow you to open two different tabs simultaneously, letting one text while watching a video on YouTube for example. Both displays can be connected for a wider view of the image and the concept phone has a slim design and speakers on both sides.
There are more aspects here, that aren’t clearly detailed, such as the hinge mechanism on the device. It seems to involve some sort of pins or balls, or maybe a paper notebook-style mechanism. I like the way the metal looks here and the way the speakers are integrated, with those beautiful grilles. Quite a lot of work was involved here, as the designer used Rhino 3D, Keyshot and Autodesk 3DS Max.
