I wasn’t sure that the Chrome look of the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium was a good idea, till I saw the phone in
real life and realized it looked badass. It’s like a mirror, infused with metal and feeling like the Terminator in the movie T2 touched it. Anyway, the very same look is present on the following concept phone.
Created by Alex Liang from Beijing, this concept design is temporarily known as the Kyouka-Suigetsu. This means “the flower in the mirror and the moon in the water”, basically virtual imagery. The smartphone feels like a Lumia a bit, but made more interesting and sexier. The way the camera bulk is integrated is smart and feels like it takes a hint from the HTC 10 edges approach.
I see there’s a very discrete speaker at the bottom, where we also find the USB Type C port and audio jack. A big and protruding camera like that may indeed signal this is a Pureview-related model of sorts. Overall, a nice metal “brick” with a solid design, that would stand out in a crowd.
