We’re dealing
with a serious case of the Frankenstein disease here, with a phone that’s made of parts and resurrected somehow. We all know that the Microsoft/Nokia Lumia 1030 is pretty much dead, under the McLaren codenamed, but here it is again, this time rendered by designer Laura Donici.
She didn’t have to do that much, let’s be honest… She basically took a Nokia x7, slapped a hardcore camera at the back (pretty much copy/paste, no serious editing) and that’s about it. Maybe the extra 3 LED flashes can be considered a bonus. The real contribution here is the specs list, that I’m going to have a glance at. So, we get 4 stereo speakers with 5.1 sound, which doesn’t sound bad at all, plus 4 microphones for rich 5.1 recording.
Windows 10 is the OS of course and the screen should have a diagonal between 4.7 and 5.2 inches. It’s also going to offer a Full HD resolution, while inside the handset we find between 32 and 128 GB of storage, 3 or 4 GB of RAM and at the back rests a camera with a resolution ranging from 41 to 50 megapixels and also sporting optical zoom. The front selfie shooter is a 12 MP one.
No mention of the battery, but we do get an octa core CPU, probably a Snapdragon 810. Is there room for such a design on the market?
